The care partner experience: only the people in their care

A care partner is someone who helps look after a specific group of people: a small group leader, a ministry leader, a deacon. This three-minute narrated tour follows one, on the same practice church as the other tours. Her FlockConnect is small on purpose, and the tour ends by showing what happens when she reaches for someone outside her care.

What the tour covers

Her Home holds a short first-week guide, her assignments, and her flock. The sidebar has three sections: Home, Care, and Settings. Care shows exactly who is in her care, and every person there has a Log button. She logs a conversation, picks the kind of moment it was, and chooses who can see it; the note starts private, as it does for everyone.

Her People page is only her people, sixteen names rather than the whole church. On one person's record she sees the notes shared with her, while the list of who else cares for that person is hidden. She writes a care report by answering a few plain questions and sends it to the owner and admins. Her reports and follow-ups are hers alone. And when she opens someone outside her care, there is simply nothing there.

Who this is for

Volunteers and leaders who will carry a handful of people and nothing else. It is also the tour to show a pastor who wants to know whether handing a volunteer real responsibility is safe: the boundary is not a setting someone remembers to turn on, it is how the seat works.

What to watch for

The People page that says Assigned people only. The person's record where the who-cares-for-them list is hidden because that is a church-wide view. And the last minute, where opening someone outside her care shows nothing at all.

Where to go next

The getting-started guide for care partners walks the rhythm of assigned people and quick logs. The care visibility guide explains, note by note, what the sharing choices mean.
