Getting started
Getting started as a care partner: your people, your log
A care partner is a trusted volunteer with a short list of people to look after and a simple tool for writing care down. You will not see the whole church, on purpose: your view is scoped to the people assigned to you, which keeps their trust and your attention in the right place. This guide walks from the invitation email to the weekly rhythm: accept, meet your people, log care from your phone, and keep follow-ups from slipping.
Accept the invitation
Your church sends an email with a secure link. The page it opens greets you with the church's name and who invited you; sign in, or create an account, with that same email address, confirm you are 18 or older and accept the terms, then click Accept.
Your first screen is a guided start that names the person who invited you. Multi-factor authentication is optional for care partners unless your church requires it; if asked, the setup takes a minute.
- Accept with the invited email address; your first screen names the person who invited you.
- MFA is optional for care partners unless your church requires it.
- You see the people assigned to you, and only them, enforced in the database.
- The raised Log button opens the quick log; person first, then the note.
- Notes start private to you; sharing is a per-note choice stated in plain words.
- Follow-ups with due dates surface the overdue ones before they slip.
Meet the people assigned to you
Your Care view lists the people in your care, assigned to you directly or through a household, group, or ministry. That list is your whole view of the church, enforced in the database, so what you see is exactly what you are responsible for, no more.
Each person's profile carries what you need for a visit: contact details, their household, and the care history you have access to. If someone you look after is missing from your list, ask your church office to check the assignment; assignments are written down by owners and admins.
Log care from your phone
The raised Log button in the middle of the bottom bar opens the quick log anywhere. Pick the person first, then write what happened; a call, a visit, a conversation after the service. Where dictation is enabled, the microphone in the note box types for you.
Every note starts private to you. Sharing it with the owner, admins with care access, or specific teammates is a choice you make per note, in plain words that state exactly who will see it. Add the app to your phone's home screen and the whole loop is two taps from your pocket.
Keep follow-ups moving
When a moment needs a next step, add a follow-up with a due date as you log. Your follow-ups list keeps them in view and surfaces the overdue ones first, so a promised visit does not quietly age out of memory.
If your church uses care reports, your desk shows the reports for your people, drafts you are writing and ones you have submitted for review. And if you lead a group, Sunday attendance is yours too: tap the faces you saw, save, done in a minute.
