The church leader experience, for the leaders you bring on

A church leader is a trusted leader the account owner has brought on: an elder, an associate pastor, a staff member. This three-minute narrated tour shows the same practice church as the owner tour, from that seat. The owner chooses a church leader's sections one by one when inviting them, and this church leader was given the four most churches give an elder: People, Care, Groups, and Insights. Not Forms, not managing the team, not connections to other systems, and never billing, which stays with the owner on every plan. The short version is that such a church leader sees the whole church and carries people of their own, and the differences are few and deliberate. An owner who wants a church leader to do more, such as inviting people or connecting Planning Center, turns that on in the same place; the Full access preset starts with all of it.

What the tour covers

Home looks like the owner's with one addition: the people assigned to this church leader come first. The sections on the left are the ones the owner turned on for this church leader, which here is everything but Forms. The People page is the full church. On one person's record, the notes shared with the care team are there and the note the owner kept private is not, because privacy follows the note rather than anyone's title.

The church leader logs a prayer and shares it with the owner and the others caring for that person, sees the coverage board for the whole church, opens their own assignment, works follow-ups, reviews a care partner's report, and lands in Settings, where the differences show: no billing, which is always the owner's, and no connections to other systems or inviting people, because this church leader was not given those. An owner can grant either one to a church leader.

Who this is for

Any leader who will help carry the church's care but did not set the account up. If your church is led by a team, this is the seat most of that team will sit in. It is also the seat to show a leader who wonders what they will and will not be able to see.

What to watch for

The moment on the person's record, about a minute in, where the owner's private note is simply absent. And the assignment page a little later: being assigned people does not shrink what a church leader can see. It puts their people first, so their follow-ups and reports come to them.

Where to go next

The getting-started guide for church leaders walks the first week in order, from accepting the invitation to knowing your flock. The care assignments guide explains what an assignment changes for each seat.
