How it works

Set up in an afternoon.

  1. 1

Connect with your Planning Center login

Sign in once with the official Planning Center OAuth flow. There are no passwords or tokens to copy, and FlockConnect stores the connection encrypted. Owners connect; everyone else just benefits.

  2. 2

Pull your people in one click

Import brings your People into FlockConnect (names, emails, phones, status, addresses, and profile photos) and the life around them: households, groups and their events, Check-Ins attendance, gift dates for giving cadence, serving, and registrations. Custom fields come over for the fields you choose to map. Re-run it whenever you like: people already imported from Planning Center are matched, never duplicated.

  3. 3

    Review, then sync both ways

When something differs, FlockConnect shows you exactly what changed in plain language and lets you decide each row: Keep Planning Center, Keep FlockConnect, or Decide later. Choose to keep FlockConnect's value and you can push that name or status correction back, but only when you opt in.

Reviewed two-way sync

You stay in control of every change.

Other tools sync silently and hope for the best. FlockConnect shows you what differs, in plain language, and lets you decide, row by row, before anything moves.

Nothing is written back to Planning Center unless you opt in. You approve every change.

What syncs

Exactly what moves, and what doesn’t.

Imports from Planning Center

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Active / inactive status
  • Home address
  • Profile photos
  • Households and groups
  • Check-Ins attendance
  • Giving cadence: gift dates, never amounts
  • Serving and registrations
  • Custom fields you choose to map

Writes back when you approve

  • Name corrections
  • Active / inactive status

Not part of the sync:

  • Giving amounts: gift dates come over for cadence, dollar amounts never do
  • Email & phone write-back to Planning Center
  • Unattended write-back: updates from Planning Center arrive automatically, but nothing goes back unless you opt in and approve it
  • Human approval before any change is written back to Planning Center.
  • Your Planning Center connection is encrypted and scoped to your church.
  • Revoke FlockConnect's access from Planning Center anytime. It never deletes or edits your Planning Center records.

More on how FlockConnect keeps data safe →

Planning Center questions.

Does FlockConnect replace Planning Center?

No. FlockConnect works alongside Planning Center. Keep using Planning Center for what it does best; FlockConnect adds the relational, pastoral-care layer on top and keeps your people in step.

Will it overwrite my Planning Center data?

Never silently. Every difference is surfaced for your review after an import, and a value only travels back to Planning Center when you choose Keep FlockConnect and opt in to the write-back.

Does it keep syncing after the first import?

Yes. People changes keep arriving on their own, through Planning Center's webhooks plus a regular sweep that catches anything missed, and households, groups, attendance, and the rest are refreshed in the background on a rolling nightly cycle. Your import scope stays the boundary: it decides who comes over. And nothing travels back unless you opt in and approve it.

Do I need a password or an access token?

No. You connect through Planning Center's official login. There's nothing to copy, paste, or store yourself, and you can revoke FlockConnect's access from your Planning Center account at any time.

How do I turn off the connection?

Two ways. An account owner can disconnect Planning Center from FlockConnect's integration settings: syncing stops right away, and FlockConnect asks Planning Center to revoke its access, retrying until Planning Center confirms. Or revoke the access from your Planning Center account directly. Either way, it never deletes or edits anything inside Planning Center; your records there stay exactly as they are.

Bring Planning Center to life.

Connect in minutes, import in one click, and keep pastoral care in view. Research says members who form about seven real friendships in their first six months almost always stay; this is where you start seeing those connections.
